Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Singapore.

Reporting to senior sales manager / director, you will help design and drive the overall sales strategy to secure exhibitors, sponsors, and strategic partners. The position focuses on proactively identifying and converting new business opportunities, deepening relationships with existing clients, and leading contract negotiations through to closure. You will work closely with the marketing and event operations teams to align campaigns, ensure seamless delivery of sold commitments, and consistently hit or exceed revenue targets. Additionally, you will keep a close

watch on market trends, pricing movements, and competitor activity to refine positioning and maintain the fair’s competitive edge. This role has no direct management responsibility but may involve mentoring of early career individuals which may become direct reports and supervision of an extensive sales agent network.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, client relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with market research, business development, and creating effective sales strategies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders successfully.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and a solid understanding of the design or events industry is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience (min. 3 years) in B28 conference and exhibition or sponsorship sales
  • Strong knowledge of and familiarity with the dynamics throughout the traditional furniture and interior design sectors, architecture, manufacturing brands or distributors is desired
  • A solid understanding of the tradeshow and exhibition industry including managing sales agents
  • Previous responsibility for ambitious sales targets, demonstrating ability to consistently meet and exceed these targets
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies to attract exhibitors.
  • Coordinate with the event team to ensure seamless execution of exhibitions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ability and proven experience of working with a wide range of cultures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in the design, architecture, or events sector is an asset.

This role is ideal for an early-career or developing marketing professional who is eager to build experience in event and exhibition marketing, enjoys working across multiple channels, and thrives in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. The Marketing Executive/Manager will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, supporting campaign execution, content coordination, digital marketing activities, and on-ground event promotion.

THE ROLE

As a Marketing Executive/Manager, you will support the marketing team in delivering digital and content-led campaigns that promote our exhibitions, conferences, and event platforms across the Asia-Pacific region.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, and wider marketing team, this role provides hands-on exposure to digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, website content, online advertising, and event marketing. It is well-suited for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to learn, build practical skills, and grow their career in event and exhibition marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns across social media, websites, email marketing, and online advertising platforms.
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing content across digital channels in line with campaign timeline
  • Support basic setup and coordination of digital advertising campaigns, including social and display ads.

Content & Social Media

  • Assist with content creation for digital platforms, including social media posts, email newsletters, website updates, and simple marketing visuals.
  • Support the coordination of creative assets such as images, videos, and copy, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor social media channels and assist with community engagement, enquiries, and basic reporting.

Email Marketing & Website Support

  • Support the creation, testing, and deployment of email marketing campaigns and EDMs.
  • Assist with website content updates, including event information, exhibitor listings, and campaign pages.
  • Help ensure digital content is accurate, up to date, and optimised for user experience.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Assist in tracking and compiling digital marketing performance metrics such as email open rates, website traffic, and social media engagement.
  • Support the preparation of campaign reports and post-campaign summaries.
  • Learn to use digital analytics and marketing tools to support data-driven decision-making.

Event Marketing Support

  • Support digital promotion before, during, and after events, including live updates and post-event content.
  • Assist with digital communications to exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and attendees.
  • Provide on-site marketing support during events where required.

Team Collaboration & Learning

  • Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Event Delivery to support coordinated marketing activities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for digital and creative support when needed.
  • Take part in team discussions, training, and learning opportunities to continuously develop digital marketing skills.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or content-related roles (internship experience is welcomed).
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels including social media, email marketing, websites, and online advertising.
  • Familiarity with common digital tools such as social media platforms, email marketing systems, and basic analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta, or similar tools) is an advantage.
  • Strong written communication skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable supporting on-site event activities when required.
